What's the difference between Colour PPF and a traditional vinyl wrap?

Colour PPF uses a thicker TPU base (8 mil) that delivers colour change plus stone-chip protection, stain resistance and light-scratch self-healing — backed by an official warranty (GSWF 8-year / CYBRIX 5-year). Traditional vinyl wraps are PVC-based, purely cosmetic, offer no protection or self-healing and typically last 3–5 years.

How much does Colour PPF cost in Hong Kong?

Official installation prices: CYBRIX IRONMIX Colour PPF HK$23,800; GSWF CHROMA GUARD Colour PPF HK$28,800. Except for supercars, small / mid / large cars are all charged the same flat rate — no vehicle-size surcharge. Chameleon finishes and supercars are quoted separately. Book an in-studio inspection for a written quotation after we confirm the vehicle and colour.

Will Colour PPF damage my factory paint? Is it reversible?

Properly installed Colour PPF does not permanently alter the factory colour. Before removal our technicians inspect the paint for previous respray work and remove the film professionally. On unpainted factory panels 90%+ of the original paint can be preserved.

Can I order based on the online swatches only?

Accepted Answer

Screen colours vary with device and lighting. We strongly recommend visiting the studio to view physical swatches. Current stock batches, colour tolerance and final SKUs are confirmed in writing before installation.

How long does ordering and installation take?

Accepted Answer

Colour PPF usually requires an in-studio colour selection, then 1–3 weeks for material ordering. Full-vehicle installation takes approximately 4–6 days, depending on model, disassembly needs and schedule.

How long is the warranty? Will it void my manufacturer warranty?

GSWF CHROMA GUARD carries an official 8-year warranty and CYBRIX IRONMIX Colour PPF carries an official 5-year warranty, covering bubbling, delamination, fading and cracking due to installation defects. Compliant installation (no cutting of OEM parts, fully removable) does not void Tesla / BMW / Porsche manufacturer warranties.
