Full PPF or front-bumper only — how do I choose?

For new vehicles or long-term ownership, full PPF is recommended to protect resale value and the entire paint surface. For daily commuters or short-term ownership, high-wear zones (front bumper, hood, mirrors, door edges, wheel arches) already block ~90% of stone-chip and scratch damage at the best value.

PPF vs ceramic coating — what's the difference?

PPF is a physical barrier — a ~200μm TPU film that absorbs stone-chip impact and prevents scratches from reaching OEM paint. Ceramic coating is a chemical layer that resists UV, oxidation and improves hydrophobic performance, but does not stop stone-chips. The best combo is PPF first, then ceramic coating on top of the PPF.

Does PPF yellow over time?

Can I wash the car normally? Does PPF need special care?

Accepted Answer

Yes — normal washing is fine. Use pH-neutral shampoo and soft mitts; avoid strong alkaline cleaners, degreasers or automated brush washes. LETS GET WASH AI robotic wash is fully PPF-safe.

How does the warranty work? What if I repair or repaint later?

LETS GET WRAP offers a factory lifetime warranty on GSWF TPU clear PPF covering yellowing, delamination and bubbling — free replacement. The warranty covers the film itself. If accident repair requires panel replacement or repaint, only that panel's PPF needs re-installation (with owner discount); untouched panels remain fully warrantied.

What does 'full-car PPF' actually cover? Are door jambs included?

Full PPF standard coverage includes all visible paint surfaces: front and rear bumpers, hood, roof, all four fenders, four doors, trunk, mirror caps, A/B/C pillars and wheel arches. Door edges, fuel filler flap and trunk edges are edge-wrapped by hand-cut technique to prevent lifting. Door jambs are typically not fully painted from the factory, so film is not recommended there.

Are there different PPF materials? Which is best — TPU, TPH or PVC?

TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) is today's premium tier — self-healing, yellowing-resistant, elastic, 7–10 year lifespan (e.g. GSWF Defender). TPH is a cheaper TPU substitute that yellows in 1–3 years. PVC is the oldest technology — rigid, brittle, degrades within a year. LETS GET WRAP installs GSWF TPU only, eliminating yellowing entirely.
