The 992-generation 911 has a front approach angle of only ~10°, roughly half that of a typical sedan (15–18°), and the front splitter sits just ~105mm off the ground. Everyday underground parking ramps, speed bumps and even small road debris scrape the splitter. Combined with the wide-body design, the front fenders, A-pillar base and roof leading edge take a disproportionate share of high-speed stone-chip impact — much more than a standard sedan of the same segment.

The traditional fix is bolting on a PU or carbon lip protector, but these break the OEM styling and leave mounting holes when removed. GSWF TPU PPF at 190μm absorbs the majority of low-speed scrapes and high-speed chips while keeping factory 911 lines fully intact. Turbo S / GT3 / GT3 RS are HK$3M+ flagship performance cars — we strongly recommend full-car PPF, with dedicated matte PPF over the GT3 RS carbon roof, wing, diffuser and Weissach Package carbon pieces to prevent carbon clearcoat yellowing under UV and heat. Track-day GT3s can opt for our Defender Pro 240μm variant with double-layered PPF at the front lip and fender bottoms to absorb high-speed chips.

PTS (Paint to Sample) clients are essentially mandatory — PTS is Porsche's individually specified paint service, each car unique, and any damage repair takes months. PPF is the only long-term way to preserve PTS value. For PTS clients we document the exact pre-install paint state as a GSWF warranty baseline.

Every carbon front lip, rear diffuser and wing support has bespoke cut data — avoiding the lifting-edge problems common to hand-cut installs.

For PTS clients we first shoot full-panel high-resolution photos on arrival, capture each panel's colour differential and metallic flake distribution, and measure ΔE using a German X-Rite spectrophotometer. This data lives in the client's file as the reference for future PPF removal, panel replacement or warranty claims.

About one-third of Hong Kong 911 owners run occasional track days, and PPF is especially important for track cars — the front lip absorbs enormous sand-and-stone impact under high-speed airflow, and a single track day can accumulate dozens of chip strikes. We recommend a pre- and post-track inspection: any lifting edge or deep chip point can be spot-repaired immediately to prevent moisture ingress that causes delamination.

PTS clients: return every 12 months for a complimentary inspection — we re-measure PPF surface ΔE and light transmission with the spectrophotometer, and if we detect any delamination or colour drift we can spot-replace immediately, guaranteeing zero PTS paint change within the PPF warranty period.
