Mercedes-Benz designo — including designo Cardinal Red, Diamond White, Hyacinth Red and the iconic Magno matte finishes (AMG GT Black Series Magno Green Hell, Magno Iridium Silver, and more) — is not ordinary paint. Each panel is finished at the German factory using multi-layer hand-sprayed processes with special pigment formulations. When damaged, local body shops often cannot re-match the colour; panels typically ship back to Germany for factory re-spray, with 8–12 week turnaround and repair costs running into tens of thousands.

This reality makes PPF essentially mandatory for designo and Magno owners. GSWF Matte PPF is engineered specifically for finishes like Magno — after installation the surface texture matches Magno paint exactly (8–10 GU gloss units), the 190μm layer provides a physical barrier against stone chips, and traditional waxing that would otherwise gloss up a matte finish is completely avoided. For designo gloss finishes, GSWF Defender Ultra's refractive index closely matches Mercedes factory paint, so colour depth and metallic flake reflectivity are fully preserved after wrapping.

C-Class (W206), GLA and GLC are the mainstream entry range at HK$500K–800K — high daily-mileage cars. Start with a Front End Package (hood, front bumper, fenders, headlights, mirrors, A-pillars) or upgrade to full-car PPF from HK$18,000. E-Class (W214), GLE, S-Class (W223) and EQE sit in the HK$1–2M premium range, where full-car PPF from HK$25,000 is strongly recommended, with extra film over rear Executive door pockets and the trunk opening lip.

GLS, EQS and Maybach S680 are the XL flagship range at HK$3M+, taking full-car PPF at HK$18,000 – HK$30,000+. Add Maybach two-tone roof vinyl protection or a dedicated cooler-box compartment PPF as needed. AMG GT, C63, E63 and SL performance models get dedicated PPF templates over front lip, side skirts and rear diffuser — paired with KOCH-CHEMIE high-temperature coating to cope with AMG engine bay heat.

The EQ series (EQS / EQE / EQA / EQB) uses newer waterborne paint; GSWF Defender Hydro with Nano-Glasveriegelung glass coating is our recommendation, tuned for the repeated fast-charging cycle EV owners actually see.

LETS GET WRAP works from GSWF's official Mercedes-Benz digital template library, covering everything from W205 chassis through the current W223 / EQE / EQS lineup. Templates are updated for every MOPF mid-cycle refresh, so hood curvature, Panamericana grille slats, three-pointed star badge frames and AMG aero components all match factory contours precisely.

Before wrapping, technicians decontaminate with KOCH-CHEMIE Reactive Wheel Cleaner and Green Star, remove iron fallout with a clay bar, and — depending on paint condition — perform a 1-step polish. This ensures nothing is trapped under film that could later show as spots on designo or Magno surfaces.

Every install uses our core hand-cut micro edge-tuck technique — AMG carbon front-lip, side-skirt and rear-diffuser edges are folded into panel gaps, door rubbers and headlight housings so film is invisible from normal viewing distance. Once done we hand over full video documentation and register the install for GSWF's official lifetime warranty.

For the first 7 days after install, avoid pressure-washing edges at close range and don't fit a car cover — the film needs to fully bond to designo paint. Magno matte PPF owners should hand-wash every 2 weeks with KOCH-CHEMIE Nanomagic Matte (matte-specific shampoo). Never use wax-based shampoos, which would alter the matte level.

Minor scratches are self-healing: pour 40–50°C warm water over the affected panel or use a hair dryer on medium for ~30 seconds — GSWF Defender Ultra's self-healing layer will thermally reset light marks. For heavy contamination or bug residue, use KOCH-CHEMIE Insect & Dirt Remover, dwell 2 minutes, wipe gently. designo clients: return every 12 months for a complimentary inspection — we top up Allround C0.02 PPF-specific coating to reactivate hydrophobicity, so even at 5–6 years the PPF still beads water and looks factory-fresh.
