What is the difference between detailing and car care?

In Hong Kong the terms overlap. We organise everything around paint: cleaning, correction, protection and transformation, and recommend the shallowest level that solves the problem.

Does polishing damage the paint?

Not when done correctly, but each pass removes roughly 2–5 microns of clear coat. That is why we measure paint depth first and do not recommend annual full three-stage correction.

Can I book a single panel or partial service?

Yes. Partial PPF on the front bumper or single-panel correction are common. We match gloss levels so the corrected panel does not stand out.

Is there any arrangement while my car is in the shop?

Four levels of detailing — pick the right one first

The most common mistake is trying to fix paint oxidation with a wash, or stone chips with a coating. The four levels are cleaning (wash, iron and tar removal), correction (polishing, defect removal), protection (coating, PPF) and transformation (colour wrap, window film).

Choosing the wrong level wastes money and can lock existing swirls under a coating. We inspect and measure paint depth on arrival before recommending where to start.

Recommended combinations by vehicle condition

Used or 3+ years old: correct the paint first, then decide on coating or full-body PPF — otherwise the protection layer seals in existing defects.

Changing the look: colour PPF changes colour and protects at the same time, keeping the factory paint intact and reversible at resale.
