With the 2024 launch of the all-new #5 electric SUV, Smart officially transitioned from its historic micro-car positioning (Smart Fortwo) into the mid-size EV SUV segment — 4,705mm long, 1,920mm wide, nearly double the size of the previous Smart. This scale-up, combined with the aggressive boxy design language, opens up entirely new possibilities for Colour PPF individualisation. Smart #5 OEM colours are dominated by Digital White and Laser Blue, so the appetite for individualisation among Hong Kong owners is unusually strong.

LETS GET WRAP was among the first shops in Hong Kong to install Smart #5, and has now completed multiple Premium and Brabus builds — clear PPF, single-colour Colour PPF and Two-Tone colour change — including Hong Kong's first Satin Racing Blue #5 and an EVA-inspired Midnight Purple + Fantasy Green two-tone. The Smart #5's massive one-piece front panel is the visual centrepiece — colour change here delivers exceptional visual impact.

Premium (mainstream entry) — we recommend clear GSWF PPF full-car at HK$15,000 – HK$22,000 to protect OEM paint and resale value; or single-colour Colour PPF at HK$22,000 – HK$30,000 for protection plus colour change in one install. Popular colours: Satin Black (blacked-out night look), Racing Blue and Punisher Grey.

Brabus adds a dedicated front lip, side skirts, rear diffuser, Brabus badging and wheels — at HK$450K–550K. Brabus aero surface area is 30–40% more than Premium, so full-car PPF runs HK$25,000 – HK$32,000+. Carbon front lip and side skirts benefit from dedicated PPF to extend clearcoat UV life; KOCH-CHEMIE Wheel Coating on the Brabus wheels improves cleaning ease.

For maximum individualisation, choose Two-Tone at HK$28,000+ — for example CYBRIX Midnight Purple body + Fantasy Green roof (an EVA Unit-01 inspired combo), currently the most in-demand Smart #5 build.

LETS GET WRAP works from GSWF's official Smart #5 digital template library covering Premium and Brabus trims. The Smart #5's front panel is huge — around 0.8 square metres including the LED light bar — and is the most technically demanding zone on the car. We use one-piece precision-cut PPF plus our core hand-cut micro edge-tuck technique to fold edges into panel gaps, eliminating the seam lines you'd get from small-panel patchwork.

Brabus front lip, side skirts, rear diffuser and roof spoiler each get dedicated PPF templates, with matte or Gloss Plus variants to match the body finish and aero style. PPF over the carbon clearcoat extends UV ageing life beyond 5 years.

Two-Tone install is particularly demanding — the transition line between body and contrasting roof usually runs through A-pillar / C-pillar / roof gutter. We use a laser level to position the transition line so both sides are perfectly symmetric. Full-car Colour PPF or Two-Tone Smart #5 installs take 5–7 working days.

For the first 14 days after Colour PPF install, avoid pressure-washing edges at close range, brush-style automatic washes and car covers — the CYBRIX liquid-metal / matte layer needs to fully bond to the Smart factory paint. EV note: 800V fast-charging can briefly heat the front bumper and charge port area to 45°C, well within CYBRIX operating range (-40°C to +90°C).

For daily care, hand-wash every 2 weeks with KOCH-CHEMIE Nanomagic Shampoo; satin/matte builds should use Nanomagic Matte instead.
